Full Description

NAVAIR, PMA-266, intends to award a new contract to Northrop Grumman on a sole source basis due to only one known responsible source that can meet the requirements. This contract action is for the procurement of a Multi Capability Pod (MCAP) system for the MQ-8C, Fire Scout. The contractor will be responsible for delivering at least one complete MCAP system compatible with the VTUAV MQ-8C Fire Scout. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii)(A), states services may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government.
