The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a sole source delivery order, N0001927F1026, to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation in the amount of 66,041,453 dollars on October 5, 2026. This award, issued under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001925G0003, supports the MQ-4C Triton UAS program by funding recurring engineering retrofit efforts. The primary objective is to incorporate multiple Engineering Change Proposals into fielded aircraft utilized by the United States Navy and the Royal Australian Air Force. The acquisition was conducted on a sole-source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.103-1, as Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the MQ-4C Triton UAS. Because the company possesses the exclusive engineering data and technical expertise required for the design and performance of the aircraft, it was determined to be the only responsible source capable of completing the work without substantial duplication of cost or unacceptable delays. The associated Class Justification and Approval remains valid through September 30, 2030, covering developmental and sustaining engineering, production support, and software upgrades.
