The Department of Defense, through NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking market research on Multi-Sensor Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR), Laser, Stabilized, Gimbaled Systems intended for airborne, sea, and land-based military applications. This solicitation, posted on May 30, 2006, is not a request for proposals and does not include government compensation for submitted information. Interested sources are asked to provide detailed system information using a specified form, including modeling and simulation input files compatible with programs such as NVTHERM, IICAM, SSCAM, IINVD, and NVLASERD, or alternatively to complete provided specification sheets. The government will technically evaluate the submitted data to model and simulate system performance across various environmental conditions and target scenarios. Respondents are also requested to submit budgetary rough-order magnitude unit pricing, schedule availability, and any relevant product literature to assist in evaluating the capabilities against current and future military and homeland security operational needs. All information marked as proprietary or confidential will be handled accordingly for U.S. Government use only. Responses must be submitted to Marlene Siddons by June 20, 2006. The synopsis is posted on both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) and Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) sites to ensure accessibility, with FBO serving as the primary posting platform. This effort aims to gather comprehensive data to support informed acquisition decisions related to multi-sensor stabilized gimbaled systems.
