MVE Vario 1879P-TS Freezers

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is 2019-70452 and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 13.1 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the following requirement for MVE Vario 1879P-TS freezers, which are the only liquid nitrogen cryogenic storage units that are compatible with the center's existing freezers. These allow monitoring, remote interaction to control and schedule functionality, also allowing for quick response to system issues, and provides assurance that sample integrity will be maintained. The Vario models provide added benefits because they are the only units that allow for -80 degree storage with system compatibility.
