Department of Water Resources (DWR) will inject EarthTec QZ at the downstream bulkhead gate slot of Devil Canyon Second Afterbay to prevent settlement and establishment of golden mussels in the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s Rialto Pipeline & downstream member agency pipelines. A 6,300-gallon Ironclad poly cube will be staged immediately next to the afterbay structure on concrete and will be surrounded by a 12x25 foot spill berm for secondary containment. All access and work is within DWR right of way.
