(C) VIRBEANX-102, REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF WATER IN ELEVATOR SHAFT

The Department of the Navy, through Navfac Mid-Atlantic, has issued a forecast for contract VIRBEANX-102 to address water contamination in an elevator shaft. The primary objective is to remove and dispose of water to enable the repair of a non-functional sump pump. To restore elevator service efficiently, the proposed solution involves a six-week oil filtering process to remove water from the hydraulic oil, which is identified as the most cost-effective method compared to available alternatives. This requirement is designated as an 8(a) Sole Source set-aside under FAR 19.8. The project focuses on critical infrastructure maintenance to ensure the operational readiness of the elevator system.
