MX-20HD System

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with L-3 Wescam, Burlington, Ontario Canada L7P5B9 under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to procure up to a maximum quantity of (49) MX-20HD Electro Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Systems (P/N 44160-002 Digital Master Control Unit and P/N 45000-02 Turret), engineering support, technical data and Repair of Repairables for the Government Furnished Equipment EO/IR components that fail during production, installation, test and/or checkout . The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
