N--VISN 23 Team effectiveness Coach Program

DESCRIPTION: the VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Aspire Consulting, PO Box 22138, St. Paul, MN, 55122, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-53. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This contractor has knowledge and experience with the current Team Effectiveness Coach Program that would not be readily available to another contractor. The following is the Statement of Work we are requesting this contractor to complete for us. VISN 23 Team Effectiveness Coach Program The Consultant will work directly with the VISN 23 Education Product Line to increase skills in group facilitation, team consulting, and other skills to enhance effectiveness in their coach role. The content will address the following areas: Discussion of team coaching experiences to include successes, challenges, and lessons learned; Utilizing and facilitating the Team Development Measure® (TDM); Processing of TDM results and TEC action planning; Group facilitation skills; Leader and team transitions; How to integrate new team members; Effective coaching skills; Coaching teams and team relationships; Troubleshooting and common team challenges. Objectives include utilizing the Team Development Measure® (TDM) as a standard assessment tool for momentum; Expand Facilitation & team coaching skills; Provide support as teams define a process for transitioning leaders and team members; Provide guidance on how to effectively integrate new team members and manage change; and provide team support in the area of interpersonal relationships & communication. In addition to the skills mentioned above, the following will be provided; TEC Certification, TEC & Mentor calls with reporting and a Team Effectiveness SharePoint. Based on the skills and areas of development that we are asking to be taught, we anticipate the need for a 3 day (24 hour) facilitated workshop to Include: Development and administration of Team Assessment Reports; Development of content based on the initial TEC certification program.; Development and distribution of Participant Workbooks; Presentation to visually support and engage workshop participants; Facilitator Guide and Workshop Facilitator; Learner-Centered Training Checklist. The Calls will include 12 TEC calls and 12 Mentor calls approximately 60 to 90 minutes long with an additional 2 hours monthly spent compiling and summarizing activity during the calls. The TEC SharePoint will include 1 year Monitoring & Maintenance to include troubleshooting, updates, changes, new information, electronic discussions and email responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
