AI Contract Overview
This contract solicitation is for the repair of two turret sensor-sight units, specifically NIIN 016071330, PN 4981950-4, which support the Saudi MH-60R helicopter as part of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement. Raytheon, located in McKinney, TX, is currently the only known source with full repair capability due to the lack of available government data and rights. Although Raytheon is identified as the sole source, the Navy will consider proposals from other capable vendors who submit the required documentation for source approval. The contract emphasizes the critical nature of these flight components and requires government source approval prior to award, limiting competition since technical data for open competition has not been deemed sufficient. Interested vendors who are not currently approved must submit detailed capability information in accordance with Navy guidelines as outlined in the Source Approval Information Brochure. Timely submission and completeness of this data are essential, as incomplete proposals will not be considered. If new source approval cannot be processed in time, the award may proceed with the previously approved source due to urgent fleet support needs. The solicitation was posted on April 22, 2026, with a response deadline of May 22, 2026, and is managed by the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office based in Philadelphia, PA. Points of contact for the contract are provided for inquiries and submission guidance.
