The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Cost Plus Fixed Fee delivery order to The Raytheon Company under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-20-G-0007. This specific task order focuses on upgrading APG-79 radar test stations to ensure compliance with the latest National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements, which included upgrading four test stations to Windows 10. The work is performed primarily at Patuxent River, Maryland, with the government serving as the responsible party for inspection and acceptance based on OEM specifications and NISPOM standards. This procurement was conducted on a non-competitive, sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, as Raytheon is the original equipment manufacturer and sole designer of the AN/APG-65, -65(V), -73, and -79(V)1/-79(V)4 radar systems. Raytheon possesses the proprietary technical data, tooling, and specialized expertise necessary to perform these upgrades within the required timeframe. This delivery order falls under a broader five-year BOA ceiling of approximately 886 million dollars, which covers the development, production, and sustainment of various aircraft weapons systems, including radars, targeting systems, and pylons for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft.
