Sealed bids for the construction of the Nature Park and Soccer Field Complex - Rebid for the City of Byram, Mississippi will be received by the Mayor and Board of Alderman at 5901 Terry Road, Byram, Mississippi, 39272, until 2:00 P.M., September 1st, 2026, and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Electronic bids will be received at www.centralbidding.com and shall include a copy of their Certificate of Responsibility as an attachment to the electronic bid.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. All bids shall be clearly marked “NATURE PARK AND SOCCER FIELD COMPLEX - REBID” with the date and time of the bid opening on the outside of the sealed envelope. Each bidder shall write his Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his bid. A pre-bid meeting will be held on August 13, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. at Byram City Hall located at 5901 Terry Road, Byram, Mississippi, 39272, The City of Byram hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this notice, disadvantaged, and women's business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Contract Time is as follows: Base Bid - 250 consecutive calendar days. The project will also include several Additive Alternates. Each Additive Alternate includes additional contract time, as outlined in Section 012300 – Alternates of the Construction Documents. The contract, if awarded, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on the submitted Base Bid and all selected Alternates listed in the proposal. If requested by the Owner/Engineer, the bidder shall submit five projects of similar scope and size for review and evaluation. The Mayor and Board of Alderman for the City of Byram, Mississippi reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which he is authorized to bid. Plans and Contract Documents are on file at McMaster & Associates, Inc. located at 212 Waterford Square, Suite 300 Madison, Mississippi 39110 and may be ordered at www.centralbidding.com. Please notify the office in advance if you plan to pick up hard copies of these documents at McMaster & Associates, Inc. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five (5) percent of his bid, payable to the City of Byram, Mississippi as bid security. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract issued by a Surety company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi. Bidders shall submit a current financial statement if requested by the city. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Payment Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. The bidder shall guarantee to hold his bid good and may not withdraw his bid for a period of 60 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids.
