THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) OF 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bid. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a Invitation for Bid numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0274 on or about March 30, 2010, for the RECOVERY Nevada Ogden Bridge, Helena National Forest. If the Invitation For Bid is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective vendors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 30, 2010 to obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid. This requirement is being solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) under FAR Part 14. Bids are due at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time; April 29, 2010. A single firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded to the responsible Bidder (IAW FAR Part 9, Contractor Qualifications) whose bid is of the lowest price. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Construct a 162 foot prestressed concrete beam design bridge, over the Little Blackfoot River, on the Lincoln Ranger District, Helena National Forest. The work involved with this project includes, but is not limited to, removal of the existing Nevada Ogden bridge, placing riprap, road reconditioning, hauling and placing 700 cubic yards of suitable aggregate material (haul, spread, water, compact), and seeding, while providing proper soil and erosion control measures. The magnitude of this project IAW FAR 36.204 (e) is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. The projected project length is 100 days. Projected start date is June 1, 2010. Performance and Payments will be required per the miller Act and Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply. PROJECT LOCATION. Project is located on the Lincoln Ranger District, Helena National Forest, Lewis and Clark County, Montana. From Lincoln, MT travel west on Highway 200 for approximately 11 miles, turn south on Nevada Ogden Road 1163. Project is located at Mile Post 0.3, on Road 1163.
