SEALED BIDS for the construction of the “New Headquarters for Visit Baton Rouge” consisting of the following: Construction includes abatement, selective demolition, and renovation/buildout of the existing two-story, 12,310 square foot structure to accommodate new offices for Visit Baton Rouge. Alternate scope includes specialty lighting, site improvements and an addition of a new occupied roof deck. The project has been submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) – all work must be done in full compliance with noted requirements in order for the project to receive the State Historic Tax Credits.  will be received on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, by Visit Baton Rouge, 359 Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70801, until 2:00 P.M. local time, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud.   Each bid shall be either hand delivered by the bidder or his agent, or shall be submitted electronically with Central Auction House. Sealed bids shall be directed to VBR-232 Lafayette, Inc., c/o Visit Baton Rouge, 359 Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70801, on the day of the bid opening. R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.   The Owner requires that each bidder attach to his bid a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond equivalent to 5% of the total bid as evidence of good faith of the bidder. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570.
Proposal prices shall specifically EXCLUDE any and all taxes whatsoever. Act 1029 of 1991 exempts local governments from state and local tax effective September 1, 1991. Proposal prices shall include any shipping / transportation charges, if applicable.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided by law.
