New Single Axle Dump Truck

Background The Madison County Government is seeking to procure two new single axle dump trucks equipped with snow plows and stainless steel hopper spreaders featuring a pre-wet system. This initiative is part of the Transportation Committee's efforts to enhance the county's transportation infrastructure and services. Work Details The contract involves the delivery of two (2) new single axle dump trucks with the following specifications: - Each truck must be a current model in standard production by the manufacturer. - The trucks should have a 39,000# rated cab and chassis, dump body, and stainless steel hopper spreader with pre-wet system. - Specifications include: - Heavy Duty High Tensile Single Frame Rail - Engine: Minimum 275 Horsepower, 860#-ft torque, in-line 6 cylinder Diesel - Transmission: Allison 3000RDS, 6 Speed Automatic - Dump Body: 10’-6”, cross-member-less design, made of high tensile strength steel - Stainless Steel Hopper Spreader: 304 stainless steel construction with hydraulic auger drive and manual roll tarp. - Additional features include a snow plow with adjustable compression springs and hydraulic controls for the pre-wet system. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract will be from the date of contract award until delivery is completed within 180 days after receiving a signed contract or within 120 days after delivery of the chassis. Place of Performance The equipment will be delivered to the Madison County Highway Garage located on Marine Road in Edwardsville, Illinois. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide a complete Certificate of Liability Insurance including coverage for Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability, and Commercial Automobile Liability. Additionally, bidders must submit performance bonds and labor/material payment bonds as required by Madison County regulations.
