This is a Sources Sought Announcement (SSA), which should not be construed as a solicitation announcement, invitation for bids, request for quotations, or a request for proposals. The request for this information by the Government is for planning purposes only. It is not to be interpreted as a commitment by the Government to acquire any products or services, nor does the Government intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or otherwise pay for the information received. Those responding will not be entitled to payment for direct or indirect costs that they incur in developing a response to this SSA. Furthermore, this request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated or received for this effort. All responses will be treated as Market Research. In accordance with FAR Part 10, this SSA is Market Research to identify sources of supply for five (5) years with five (5) option years. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinitely-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the NG 2602-T Power Supply which supports the Command Post Platform. The national stock number for this commercial part is 6130-01-565-4895. The original equipment manufacturer is Aegis Power Systems, Inc., CAGE: 06ES8, located at 805 Greenlawn Cemetery Road, Murphy, NC 28906-9137. The Army does not own or have access to a complete technical data package for this item nor can it make it available to any entity. A market survey is attached. Responses to this SSA must be unclassified.
