he purpose of this Fire Ignition Prevention Project is to replace the highly flammable and severely deteriorated wood fence at Residence number 10 at Mount Diablo State Park with a fire-resistant Class A composite fence to help prevent the spread of flames in a wildfire occurrence. Work will: Remove all existing fencing around the residence; Use a hand auger or excavate by hand up to thirty-five (35) 36-inch-deep holes spaced 8 feet apart; Set one (1) post into each hole and backfill with excavated materials to secure; for every 3rd post backfill to grade with concrete; and Use screws to attach Trex or equivalent composite fencing boards, with tight plank gaps for a maximum alignment of 250 feet.
