Full Description
This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) – soliciting from a single source. This requirement is for a two 1-week culinary classes in mini desserts and international cuisine . This requirement allows the 10 MEAs selected for this training to obtain and enhance their necessary skills to properly accomplish tasks of assigned billet.
The required period of performance is 26 August 2026 to 22 September 2026. The applicable NAICS Code is 611710- Educational Support Services. The USMC Regional Contracting Office (RCO) – Marine Corps Installations-National Capital Region (MCI-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to, The Culinary Institute of America, 1946 Campus Dr, Hyde Park, NY 12538-1430.
The MCI-NCR RCO intends to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.”
This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
