This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the following: CLIN 1: Non-recurring engineering of a cryocooler heat exchanger for SOFIA in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (Heat Exchanger SOW.docx). CLIN 2: Option Line Item 1: Firm-fixed quote for fabrication and delivery of quantity 1, upper deck heat exchanger and quantity 1, TA Pit heat exchanger in accordance with the approved design. CLIN 3: Option Line Item 2: Firm-fixed quote for fabrication and delivery of quantity 1, upper deck heat exchanger in accordance with the approved design. The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-88. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 541330 and $38.5 million. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Delivery schedule will be determined by section 7.0 of the attached Statement of Work (Heat_Exchanger_SOW_07132016.docx). Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
