The proposed project shall consist of water main improvements in the North (Old) Marco area of the City of Marco Island. It will include, but is not limited to, the installation of a new 10" water main to replace the existing 4" asbestos cement water main, as well as the installation of new valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water service lines, maintenance of traffic, restoration activities, and temporary and final connections all in accordance with the project plans and specifications. All pipes must be flushed, tested, and sterilized prior to commissioning. A temporary bypass water main will be required to maintain service in one area of the project. The work is scheduled to commence at the end of April or the beginning of May 2025.
