Full Description

SCOPE OF WORK: Treating noxious weeds, providing treatment data and conducting weed infestation inventory. The contractor shall provide any and all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, licensing, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance, and transportation to accomplish weed treatment and weed inventory projects. Equipment being used for the requirements under this contract shall be cleaned prior to entering the Forest and cleaning may be required between sites. Supply of water may or may not be available in the local area of work, if not; the contractor will be required to furnish water. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Services covered under this Performance Work Statement and contract are to be performed during the base year of August 15, 2009, through April 30, 2010, and with the possibility of two option years ending no later than April 30, 2012. Work shall commence when target plants are actively growing and weather conditions make them most susceptible to herbicide effects as per the manufacturers recommendations. Individual task orders will identify specific start work and completion dates. However work will generally begin on or around May 1st of each year. ACCESSABILITY: There may be areas that have limited access due to travel restrictions and/or terrain within each District. Within these areas the contractor shall select a method of treatment that meets the contract or task order requirements. Some of these areas may be limited to foot or horse travel.
