NOS CO-OPS Vessel

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), through its Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS), is conducting market research under solicitation number REQUIREMENTS-26-1228 to identify capable vendors for the acquisition of a commercial-duty replacement vessel to support the operational needs of the NWLON, PORTS, and NCOP programs. The vessel must be a 26 to 30-foot Downeast-style semi-displacement fiberglass hull, equipped with twin 200 HP+ outboard engines from Mercury, Yamaha, or Suzuki, a 500-pound davit system, a Seakeeper 1 gyro stabilizer, dual Lowrance HDS PRO 16 multifunction displays, a 140-gallon EPA-compliant fuel system, marine HVAC, and a trailerable design capable of withstanding extended offshore use. The vessel is required to meet stringent standards including ABYC, USCG, NFPA, EPA, and NMEA 2000, with compliance to the most stringent applicable requirements in case of conflict. The contractor must deliver the vessel FOB Destination to NOAA’s Chesapeake Field Office in Virginia and provide full warranty transfer upon delivery.
