The City of Tustin Public Works Department is seeking applications from qualified licensed contractors in the State of California to be included on its notification list for informal construction and maintenance projects for the 2026 calendar year. This process is conducted in accordance with the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act and the City of Tustin Municipal Code, specifically targeting projects with a value of 200,000 dollars or less. Interested contractors must submit their pre-qualification application by December 31, 2026, detailing their company information, California contractor license numbers, and specific areas of expertise, including General Engineering, General Building, or various C-classified specialty categories. To be eligible, applicants must certify that they are properly licensed, skilled in their chosen categories, and capable of securing the necessary bonds and insurance. A critical requirement for any subsequent contract award is the provision of proof of insurance and insurer endorsements within ten working days of the notice of award. These insurance requirements are non-negotiable, and failure to comply will result in the annulment of the award. While the application process identifies qualified bidders for future opportunities, the completion of the application itself does not constitute a contract.
