Notice Inviting Interested Qualified Contractors For The 2027 Informal Bid List

The City of Imperial Beach is establishing an informal bidding contractors list for the 2027 calendar year in accordance with the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act and California Public Contract Code 22032. This list will be used to identify qualified licensed contractors for public works projects estimated below $220,000. To be deemed qualified, interested parties must submit a new 2027 Contractor Registration Application including company contact details, license classifications, and license expiration dates. All applicants, including those previously approved, must re-apply to be included on the 2027 list. Qualified contractors must possess a current license verified by the Contractors State License Board. Additionally, pursuant to SB 854 and California Labor Code section 1725.5, registration with the Department of Industrial Relations is mandatory for any contractor or subcontractor bidding on or awarded public works projects exceeding $25,000, or $15,000 for maintenance projects.
