The United States International Development Finance Corporation, through its Office of Acquisition, has issued a notice of award for legal services regarding project number 523-2007-311-IG, specifically concerning WBC Collegio Americano. This contract is a sole-source award granted to Solcargo to provide specialized legal services necessary to conclude foreclosure proceedings in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. These proceedings were originally initiated by OPIC in 2014 and were previously managed by a debt collector under a separate agreement that has since reached the end of its term. The engagement is structured as a logical follow-on to a prior contract and is justified by unusual urgency resulting from significant Mexican court backlogs following the COVID-19 pandemic. The period of performance for these services is set for two years. This action ensures the continuity of litigation services required for the DFC to successfully finalize the recovery of project collateral.
