Estimated Modification Award Date: 1 April 2019 Contract Number: FA2517-18-C-8000 Synopsis: 21 CONS proposes to procure, by means of other than full and open competition, a contract modification to the Solid State Phased Array Radar System (SSPARS) contract (FA2517-18-C-8000) for services to operate the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR), which is currently under construction at Clear Air Force Station (AFS), AK. The SSPARS acquisition was competed and competitively awarded to InDyne, Inc. in March 2018 with a value of $417,799,124. Under this contract, InDyne performs maintenance of installation and site requirements in support of five (5) ground based radars. The period of performance for this modification is proposed to be 1 October 2019 through 30 April 2026, which corresponds with the SSPARS contract period of performance. This is a non-commercial service and the modification will be a firm-fixed price effort, which is the contract type currently being used on the SSPARS contract. See attached redacted, draft J&A for more information. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as required by FAR 6.303-2(b)(4).
