The 2nd Special Operations Squadron requires the continuation of trailer rentals, specifically one 12'x60' trailer, one 24'x60' trailer, and two 36'x60' trailers, for the period from December 1, 2012, through November 30, 2013. Due to operational constraints and limited space at Nellis Air Force Base, where the current trailers are housed, the squadron cannot cease operations to facilitate a transition to trailers from a different source. Consequently, the 99th Contracting Squadron intends to award a single-source purchase order to Modular Space Corporation, the incumbent contractor, who currently provides these trailers under contract FA4861-10-M-L002, which expires November 30, 2012. The contracting officer has determined that only one source is reasonably available, justifying the sole source procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b). This approach avoids disruption to mission-critical operations by maintaining continuity of the existing trailer setup without requiring downtime for replacement. Interested parties with questions regarding this acquisition are advised to contact the Contract Specialist, Mark Garrison, at Nellis AFB. The purchase is aligned with NAICS code 531120, and the place of performance is primarily at the Nellis Air Force Base facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a purchase order to a single source under the Federal Acquisition Regulation authority specified at 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. The 2nd Special Operations Squadron (2SOS) requires the use of one 12'x60' trailer, one 24'x60' trailer and two 36' x 60' trailers, from 1 December 2012 through 30 November 2013. The 99th Contracting Squadron intends to satisfy this requirement by making a single source award to Modular Space Corporation, 1200 Swedesford Road, Berwyn, PA 19312. Modular Space Corporation is currently under contract FA4861-10-M-L002 for this requirement. The current contract expires 30 November 2012. The current trailer is located in a secure facility at Nellis AFB, NV 89191 that does not provide enough space to place additional trailers at the location prior to removing the current units. The 2SOS cannot stand down operations without unacceptable mission disruption, to allow for the replacement of the existing trailer. The contracting officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Any questions regarding this acquisition should be directed to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Mark Garrison at marka.garrison@nellis.af.mil.
