Pre-solicitation synopsis: Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely a notification of the Department of Army - 413th Regional Contracting Office - Hawaii (413th RCO-HI) intent to issue, on a sole-source basis, a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1) "For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization" to: WACO Products Inc. 1330 Knect Ave. Baltimore, MD 21229-5511 cage code 89016. The Government intends to procure one (1) Aluminum Accommodation ladder assembly for LSV-4. Part number C-66533A (Accommodation Ladder), F-66505A (Rotating Platform), and C-66506 (Yoke). The Government does not possess the drawings for the Accommodation ladder assembly as the drawings is proprietary to the original manufacture. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Interested personnel may submit a capability statement or submit proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative written response is received by 0600 Hawaii Standard Time (HST) on Monday, June 20, 2016, the contract will be issued without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract is based on this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Phone calls will not be accepted.
