Notice of Intent to Advertise - Design Build Services for the Chattahoochee River Trail Project

The Cobb County Department of Transportation is soliciting Design-Build services for Phase II of the Chattahoochee River Trail Project, identified as PI No. 0019617 and Project No. B2432. Located in Mableton, Georgia, the project involves the design, permitting, and construction of approximately 1.3 miles of a shared-use bike and pedestrian path. Key infrastructure elements include a 10 to 17-foot wide path with intermittent modal separation, a bridge over an unnamed creek, boardwalks over wetlands and environmentally sensitive areas, and the implementation of nature-based stormwater Best Management Practices. The project is classified as a Category 1 Design-Build project and will follow Georgia Department of Transportation processes. The procurement process utilizes a two-phase Best Value Bid selection method. In the first phase, the selection committee will evaluate Statements of Qualifications to identify up to five finalists based on project management experience, key personnel qualifications, and a minimum of ten years of relevant firm experience. These finalists will then proceed to the second phase, where they will submit technical and price proposals. The final award will be granted to the Design-Builder with the highest combined score. The response deadline for the pre-solicitation phase is January 15, 2027, with the project following a tentative schedule through April 2027.
