The Department of Defense's NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to INDAL TECHNOLOGIES INC., located in Mississauga, Canada, for the procurement of parts needed to repair a helicopter hangar door. The contract covers specific commercial Curtiss Wright parts, including cover access guide wheels, spring plungers, hinge pins, a control station assembly air drive, handle assembly, connection bar, and a hot galvanized hand chain, all required to be delivered together with no partial shipments accepted. This procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5 as a commercial item acquisition, and is justified as a sole source action because INDAL TECHNOLOGIES, as the authorized original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the sole supplier for these parts. The contract specifies a delivery timeline of 170 days after receipt of order, with FOB Origin terms. The supplier will be responsible for full inspection and quality control of the delivered goods. While this notice is not a solicitation or request for quotations, interested parties may express their interest and submit product information by the specified deadline, though the Government retains sole discretion to proceed without competition. The requirement is unrestricted and the Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. Documentation justifying this sole source procurement is attached as per FAR 5.102(a)(6).
