NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to solicit, negotiate and award a Firm-Fixed Price, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for laboratory supplies and reagents on a sole source basis with Roche Diagnostics Corporation with period of performance for five (5) years. Roche Diagnostics Corporation is the only known source available in meeting the agency's critical mission requirements. CDC intends to negotiate this requirement with Roche Diagnostics Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c) and HHSAR 306.302-1- Only One Responsible Source; and 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). This notice of intent is for informational purposes only. It is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement.
