--Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for continual interisland Digital Private Line Service (Special Access)

The Hawaii Army National Guard plans to award a multi-year sole source contract beginning October 1, 2004, for the continual lease of interisland DS1 High Capacity Digital T1 circuits. The contract will be awarded to Verizon Hawaii, Inc., located at 1177 Bishop Street, Honolulu, HI, as continuing with this provider is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. Verizon Hawaii meets all tariff and Public Utilities Commission requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance. This procurement is not subject to formal solicitation, and no solicitation documents will be issued; telephonic inquiries will not be entertained. Interested parties must provide clear and convincing evidence of their compliance capabilities and demonstrate advantages over Verizon Hawaii to be considered. The decision not to compete this contract rests solely with the Government. If no suitable responses are received within fifteen days of this notice, the contract will proceed with Verizon Hawaii, Inc.
