This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. EPA Region 1 New England located at 5 Post Office Sq, Boston, MA 02109 intends to negotiate a sole source service maintenance contract to LECO Corporation for the repair of LECO instruments at EPA Region 1 New England Laboratory, 11 Technology Drive, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 . LECO Corporation will provide essential service maintenance and repairs on the following products: LECO Pegasus 4D GCxGC TOFMS, Agilent 7890A GC/MS and Dell Precision 390 PC. LECO Corporation's service maintenance agreement will cover one (1) Preventative Maintenance Visit annually, software updates, remote access to instrument to determine instrument related problems, and telephone support. This service maintenance agreement will include all parts, travel and labor necessary to repair and/or perform annual performance maintenance. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award to only one contractor using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however all responses received by March 27, 2013 will be considered by the Government. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred for preparing a response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Contracting Officer is Patrice Denault Denault.Patrice@epa.gov .
