Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) VIII

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE EXTENSION MODIFICATION SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA4809-10-R-0001 CONTRACT NUMBER: FA4809-10-D-C003 NOTICE TYPE: SPECIAL NOTICE Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 6.302-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements), the 4th Contracting Squadron at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to contract with NATIONAL NICCJV, 100 N WASHINGTON ST STE 200, FALLS CHURCH VA 22046-4516 on a sole source basis for a thirty six (36) day extension to continue receiving the services in which they are providing construction support services via Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. This thirty six day extension will cover the period 25 August through 30 September 2015. This time frame was included in the solicitation but pricing for this option period was not evaluated during the solicitation. Current pricing shall be utilized during the thirty six day extension. This sole source extension will allow the incumbent to receive awards up to 30 Sep 2015 for construction projects priced during Fiscal Year 2015 but funding is not available until late August or early September of 2015. Scope of Work: The contractor shall continue to provide SABER support functions at Seymour Johnson AFB. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within Fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
