Full Description

NA The Defense Contracting Command - Washington, on behalf of the Korean War Commemoration Committee, intends to negotiate a purchase order, on a sole source basis, with the MCI Center in Washington, DC for rental of the facility, support services, and all te chnical production services on 25 - 26 July 2003. The Government requires a facility in the Washington DC area with indoor air-conditioning, clear span, pillar free veiwing area, ceiling height of no less than 90 feet for rigging lights, audio, and curtai ns, usable seating capacity for 15,000 seats after stage area and backdrop are erected, sufficient power and pre-wiring for required video and lighting support, dressing rooms and staging area for 50+ performers, and available on 25-26 July 2003. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days of the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
