Putnam County School District plans to award a contract through a Single Source Procurement for a CRT De-Escalation and Restraint Training Train-the-Trainer Seminar. This procurement is justified under the district’s policy and Florida statute as a non-competitive purchase, directed at one specific provider due to factors such as standardization or warranty that make it the most advantageous option. While the contract is not being competitively solicited, the district invites responses solely to determine if a competitive procurement might be more beneficial. Interested parties are encouraged to submit written notifications of their capability to provide the services by the stated deadline. The notice, issued on May 19, 2026, sets a response deadline of May 29, 2026, with submissions required electronically via the district’s e-Procurement platform. The point of contact for the procurement includes the Director of Purchasing, Bryan Helms, and the Purchasing Coordinator, Joshua Speicher, both reachable via provided email and phone contacts. The contract is administered under the NEFEC agency in Florida, with the place of performance also within the state. This approach ensures adherence to local regulations while allowing for transparency and opportunity for other providers to express interest before the award is finalized.
