Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Ash Technologies US, LLC for the Omni Vantage 4K Digital Microscope System, citing the necessity of maintaining standardized inspection workflows across its operations, as the existing infrastructure at TExU already relies on the Omni platform. This action is justified under FAR 6.302-1, as the agency asserts that no other products or services would meet its specific operational, measurement, and quality control requirements. The procurement is classified under NAICS code 334516 and Product Service Code 6640, and the contract will be executed through a one-time commercial purchase order without competitive bidding unless compelling evidence submitted by other vendors demonstrates clear and decisive advantages to competition. Any interested party may submit a capability statement by 7:00 AM EST on July 23, 2026, but must include their Unique Entity ID and business size, and all submissions are at the submitter’s own expense and will not obligate the government to proceed with competition. Vendors must be currently registered in SAM.gov, with accurate and updated information including UEI, EFT banking details, TIN, and contact data, as the FBI’s payment system interfaces directly with SAM to process transactions. The notice was posted on SAM.gov and will not be distributed elsewhere, and respondents are solely responsible for monitoring the site for updates. The point of contact for inquiries is Bryan Lane, reachable via email or phone, and while responses will be evaluated for potential competition, the government retains full discretion to proceed with the sole-source award. The contract will be managed by the Department of Justice’s Division 0700, with performance occurring at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, and the official solicitation number is SHOP-PR-26-001353. No reimbursement will be provided for costs associated with responding to this notice, and no binding commitment is made by the government based on this announcement.
