NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT - The Air Force Flight Test Center, Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to solicit with and award a new sole source supply contract to MITEQ, Inc., 100 Davids Dr, Hauppauge NY 11788 for the following requirement. This sole source acquisition meets the conditions of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1); only one responsible source has been identified as reasonably available to provide the item that will satisfy the agency requirements. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335312 and the Small Business size standard is 1,000 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated for the acquisition of one (1) MITEQ Up converter model U-9808R-6-1K and one (1) MITEQ Down converter model D-9856R-6-1K, both with options Analog ref phase lock, remote interface, selectable IF frequencies and Type N RF connector. Interested parties capable of providing items meeting the above requirements shall submit a capabilities package. Capabilities packages shall include, as a minimum: 1) detailed description of items proposed; 2) size of firm, large or small business; and 3) whether or not these items are provided commercially to non-government agencies. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
