NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE; MAINTENANCE SERVICE CONTRACT SUPPORT FOR LIVE FIRE TRAINER T1000 SYSTEM, BASE PLUS FOUR OPTION YEARS, TRAINING CENTER YORKTOWN, VA

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The United States Coast Guard, Training Center (TRACEN) Yorktown, Contracting & Procurement, Yorktown, VA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to KFT FireTrainer, LLC. a company based in Montvale, NJ 07645, for maintenance support service for the Fire Trainer T1000 Live Fire Training System located on Training Center Yorktown. The NAICS code 811310 applies, Size standard $8.0M. KFT Fire Trainer, LLC maintains the software, designs, resources, materials and equipment necessary to fully service the T1000 Live Fire Training System. Any use of other vendors or distributors of the system will void the warranty. The U.S. Coast Guard intends to establish a single award Contract. The Government intends to award to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement will be awarded without further notice on or about 31 March 2020 to begin 01 April 2020.
