The Department of the Navy’s Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source, non-competitive basis to Microsemi of San Jose, CA, for the acquisition of two Tactical Collection System sensors operating in the 30MHz-3GHz range and an extended warranty for these systems. The procurement is necessitated by the need to construct an experimentation, test, and development system that is fully compatible with the existing operational system, which also uses the MiniDreamin sensors produced exclusively by Microsemi. Due to this compatibility requirement, no other sensor on the market meets the technical specifications needed for integration. This notice serves as an announcement of intent rather than a request for quotes, allowing other firms to express interest if they believe they can meet the requirement; however, the government reserves the right to proceed without competition. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334413, with a business size standard of 1,250 employees. Inquiries or statements of interest must be submitted via email to the designated Contract Specialist, Ashley C Prokop, by the specified deadline, and submissions via phone or fax will not be accepted. The contract is posted through the Department of Defense’s Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific office in San Diego, CA.
