The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with the University of California San Diego. University of California San Diego 9500 Gilman Drive La Jolla, CA 92093-210 The requirement is for the purchase of the following items: CLINItem DescriptionUnitQuantity 0001CHARTERED VESSEL RENTALLot1 (maximum of 7 days) The Government has a requirement for one (1) chartered vessel to provide support services in antenna pattern characterization of NPEA sensors exclusively offered through the University of California San Diego. No other local commercial ship has the required topography to support this project. Other ships would require drilling through the hull's metal plate to install equipment to execute the required tasks. As such, the Government has determined that no other vendor besides the University of California San Diego can provide the vessel needed for this procurement. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote. A determination by the government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. The applicable NAICS Code is 483112 and the business size standard is 1,500 Employees. Be advised that the aforementioned information is anticipatory in nature and is not binding.
