NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Winston Salem Industries for the Blind for the acquisition of Air Advisor and other training equipment. Due to the nature of the requirement it has been deemed that the agency's need for the supplies is such unusual and compelling urgency that the Government would be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2), Justification: FAR 6.302-2. When the agency's need for the supplies or services is of such an unusual and compelling urgency that the Government would be seriously injured unless the agency is permitted to limit the number of sources from which it solicits bids or proposals. All efforts have been made to request offers from as many potential sources as is practicable under the circumstances.
