AI Contract Overview
NASA Johnson Space Center intends to award a sole source modification to Odyssey Space Research, LLC under contract 80JSC0-23-DA007, increasing the ceiling by $50 million to support ongoing engineering services for Guidance, Navigation and Control, system engineering, and rendezvous, proximity operations, and capture activities related to the International Space Station. The modification does not change the period of performance, which extends through January 31, 2028, and is authorized under FAR 6.103-1 due to the determination that only this single source can meet the agency’s unique requirements. The NAICS code for this action is 541330, and the acquisition is not subject to any set-aside provisions. While the government has no obligation to compete the requirement, responsible sources may submit written capability statements via email in Word or PDF format by July 25, 2026, to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the scope, including point of contact information and a detailed explanation of how their services meet the needs. All submissions must be sent exclusively to Irelita Jones and Kyle Thacker at the designated NASA email addresses, and no verbal inquiries will be accepted. Questions must be submitted by 5 PM CDT on July 22, 2026. The government retains full discretion over whether to proceed with a sole source award, will not reimburse any costs incurred by respondents, and the Ombudsman provision applies for procedural concerns.
