The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) PL8322 Hardware Section intends to award a sole source purchase order to Schneider Electric IT USA utilizing FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed contract action is to provide the government with an additional year of continued maintenance/extended warranty support on existing APC/MGE power equipment for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. At this time, Schneider Electric has been identified as the only feasible source of satisfying this requirement due to warranty concerns. Additionally, Schneider Electric has provided a letter indicating that it is the only authorized vendor (i.e., sole source) due to the following: "Our field engineers are provided with continual training in preventative and remedial maintenance of our products, in addition to field advisories, and updated firmware and software, all of which enable them to implement the latest engineering changes and upgrades to APC/MGE brand equipment. Other service providers cannot offer the benefits of Schneider Electric factory-trained technicians or the proprietary documentation and materials integral to providing our superior level of service." The anticipated purchase order will be issued on a firm-fixed price basis for a 12-month period. Interested sources that believe they can satisfy this requirement in accordance with the above must submit their interest, in writing, by 4:00 PM CST, February 26, 2016. Submissions shall be sent via email to miguel.a.colungahuerta.civ@mail.mil. All responsible sources will be considered in evaluating the determination to award on a sole-source basis. Quotations received in response to this notice will not be accepted since this synopsis cannot be considered a request for quote.
