Pursuant to (FAR) 13.501(a). The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Science Board (NSB) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Event Emissary for the logistical management services in support of the 2019 National Medal of Science Award Ceremony. The National Science and Technology Medal Foundation (NSTMF), in coordination with NSF, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and DOC/USPTO organizes the awards banquet and the White House reception. The event that is attended by approximately 200 invited guests. The date of the ceremony is TBD by the White House. In addition to this order, the funding will cover specific tasks to include costs for hall rental; equipment rental; security services; building set-up and maintenance; staging of podium, backdrop and performance platforms; lighting; audio visual support; traffic flow; guest parking; and other basic event considerations. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
