The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) is the Nation's federal health sciences university and is committed to excellence in military medicine and public health during peace and war. Intent to Sole-Source: The USU intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to MetaSystems Group, Inc. for upgrades to the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute's (AFRRI) automated microscope system encompassing one new camera with increased resolution. The requirement also encompasses the configuration of the NeonServer image management software and software upgrades to synchronize the following licenses to current standard for additional optimal performance capabilities and the integration with the new camera with increased resolution: 3 Ikaros analysis network licenses, 1 Isis analysis network license, 1 Isis capture license, 1 MSearch license, 1 MetaCyte license, 1 AutoCapt license, 1 Micronuclei license, 1 DCSCore license, and 1 Metafer analysis network license. This is NOT a request for quotes (RFQ). In accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and that the interested potential Offeror can supply the aforementioned requirement. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
