The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Safety Security and Asset Management (OSSAM), Security Services Office (SSO) intends to award a sole source contract to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, LLC. (JCBAS), 4940 Corporate Drive NW, Suite C, for the surveillance camera software. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561621 Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths. The acquisition is to provide and integrate surveillance camera software into the CDC's surveillance system. Since JCBAS is the existing and proprietary security system at CDC, they are the only contractor capable of providing upgrades and enhancements in a seamless manner to their proprietary software and hardware while maintaining daily operations and CDC's physical security posture. As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. We will issue only one solicitation to Johnson Controls Building Automation Systems, LLC. Responsible sources that believe they can meet these requirements may submit their capabilities/qualifications statement to provide these services to Mike Davis VIA EMAIL ONLY at VWL8@CDC.GOV with the solicitation number 55926 referenced in the subject line NO LATER THAN 7 PM EST on September 10, 2021. The Contracting Officer will not respond to phone calls or verbal requests. ALL REQUESTS MUST BE IN WRITING. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action are solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
