Notice of Intent to Sole Source Electrical Equipment Replacement Parts

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington, KY intends to award sole source procurement to Eaton Corporation, 4620 Proximity Dr., Ste. A, Louisville, KY 40213, for the repair of the automatic switch gear and replacement of fuses associated with Eaton Corporation in order to maintain the required certifications associated with this equipment. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335313. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Other vendors who believe they can meet the requirement may provide written notification to the contracting officer by 2:00 PM EST, November 23, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability of the vendor to supply services that will meet the requirement in a satisfactory manner. The Vendor must also provide references and show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties must provide a Capability Statement with the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone and Fax Number, Email Address, Business Size and DUNS Number. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Eaton Corporation. Responses may be emailed to jtoy@bop.gov by the deadline stated above.
