The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to award a sole source contract to Cina Consulting, LLC (DBA Lab 261) at 2250 Webster St, Palo Alto, CA 94301-4053, for micro- and nanoplastic particle standards (PVC and PET) in 10 nm and 1 μm sizes with green fluorescent labeling for in vitro toxicology studies.

This acquisition is being conducted using the simplified procedures for commercial products under FAR 12.201-1. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325211 Plastics Material and Resin Manufacturing. In accordance with FAR 12.102(a), the contracting officer has determined that Cina Consulting, LLC is the only source available to provide the required microplastic particle standards meeting the agency’s minimum technical requirements below:
