Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for Elevator Preventive Maintenance Services — Kampala, Uganda



This is a NOTICE OF INTENT for the Government to award Sole Source contract for preventive maintenance services for two existing Otis elevator systems installed at U.S. Government facilities in Kampala, Uganda. This requirement will be under NAICS code 238290, PSC code Z1PZ to Fabrication systems.



This is a sole source requirement in accordance with authority citation, 41 USC 253(c) (1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Fabrication systems are the sole authorized Otis Elevators representative in Uganda. As such, Fabrication systems are the only responsible source capable of providing certified preventive maintenance services for the Otis elevator systems installed at U.S. Embassy Kampala. No other supplier or service provider can satisfy the Embassy's requirements for these systems.



The estimated period of performance is one year.


This is not a request for proposal, and the intent of this notice is to meet regulatory disclose requirements, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Department.
