Notice of Intent - The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Western Business Service Center (WBSC) intends to award a sole source procurement to Lotek Wireless Fish and Wildlife Monitoring located at 115 Pony Drive, Newmarket, Ontario, as they are the manufacturer of the required Lotek Lite Track LR GPS collars used to document how the cattle utilize our rangeland pastures, pursuant to the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency requirements. The award will be for the 22 Lotek Lite Track LR GPS collars , same exact model of the ones already being used for mission critical research being performed at the USDA-ARS Research Lab located in Miles City, MT. For data comparison to maintain scientific integrity of the results, we must purchase from this same vendor to keep continutiy of our research and consistency of our data. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order on or about September 24, 2018 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This Notice of Intent is not considered a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposals (RFP). No soliciation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is soletly within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all responses received 10:00am EST, September 24, 2018. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
